Castle Hill is a hill in the centre of New Zealand's South Island. The hill got its name because of its many limestone boulders. These remind remotely of an old, dilapidated castle. In 2002 Tendzin Gyatsho, the 14th Dalai Lama, described Castle Hill as a "Spiritual Centre of the Universe". Castle Hill also served as the backdrop for the film The Chronicles of Narnia.
